Anyone else getting their garden ready?

Had some frost again the other morning but I’m not deterred! Turning the summer part of the garden and mixing the leaf cover in, getting ready for planting next weekend.

Brussels sprouts are sort of creepy.

I have raised beds. Planted the first one last week. I used another one to bury my outside CPs last fall, containers and all - there are small growth points but not ready to take them completely out yet - maybe this weekend.

Actually if you take "fresh" brussels sprouts, rinse and drain them, drizzle with maple syrup, add small chunks of bacon, some toasted pine nuts, a little salt, small pieces of eggplant, maybe some fresh peas. Then stir-fry until the sprouts have lost some of their crunchiness. Carefully separate the brussels sprouts. Put them in the composter and serve the rest with mashed potatoes.

I bake mine with the beacon and at the end put if you wish parmesan on the top.

I will trade you Eggplant for those Brussels Lloyd, I would take Brussel sprouts over Eggplant any day!

It’s also great you can grow brussel sprouts right threw the winter here
