Utricularia ID Contest

I've lost the tag on this nice Utricularia with small light-violet flowers. The first member who helps me to ID it correctly will get a division next year, with postage included for padded regular mail.

I think it could be U. amethystina or U. tridentata because I used to have them in the collection.
I'm waiting for the flower stalk pulling to grow new leaves so we can take a look at the leaf shape.

Seriously I found theses ones…but no luck they just pop out because of seeds contamination, I need to ID it also lolll

Tomorrow I will have a look at my Utricularia collection and see if someone looks like yours.

I have a dozen species of Utricularia that I sowed this week. Can’t wait to see them germinate!

I would go with U. tridentata.
I had it in my collection in the past too and I think it was common on the ocps group.

So far it looks like a U. Tridentata but still need the leaf to confirm.

So I would say 99% it’s an U. Tridentata

Ok there’s still a 1% chance it’s not….so send a DNA sample to AncestryDNA and maybe they will confirm it

I've tried pollinating one of the flowers so if there are seeds I will take a microscopic photo.

Still not sure if I could tell them apart. Both in section foliosa, similar range. Amethystina is a highly variable species. Probably should use a species key which would likely require flower dissection and a low power microscope.
