Two part question

First...is it bad for the leaves to be red? They don't feel crispy and they are producing pitchers better than ever before. Second..why are there so many underneath leaves and the plant so compacted? Last pic is just cause he's my favorite...lol

For Lowland nepenthes red leaves are no big deal!
There are many smaller leaves because your first plant is a Nepenthes Viking x Ampullaria. The Ampullaria in it makes it create "carpet pitcher" which are pitchers with very little leaf
