It’s been a while I didn’t post an update…I don’t know how to say it…it’s just insane lollll

So many plants in vitro, I calculated how much time I need to divide each plants produced….about 2 light years lollll

Here’s one that I’m proud of it, the Byblis pilbarana, the only Byblis so far success from seeds (thanks to @Godolphin Greenhouses). I ordered new seeds worldwide so should be able to try again for more species. Early next year, the Byblis pilbarana should be available for wholesale at nurseries in Quebec and in Canada.

Many other type of species in production and once in a while will show them here.

I had a Byblis in TC years ago. It flowered in the bottle and then died. Can't remember the species.

For advanced cultivation, the “annual” Byblis can be grown perennially in perfect conditions. To maintain a Byblis beyond the usual 4-6 month lifespan, you must provide 60%-70% humidity, intense lighting (500ppfd+), soil fertilize in addition to foliar feed by spraying, and snubbing the flowers. Temperatures should be stable between 70-85F.

3 head Roridula gorgonias looking good

Also I received an unexpected gift, Cephalotus follicularis TC  I’m so overwhelmed by this gift as it will accelerate our in vitro program, made a dozen TC of Cephalotus and will keep it multiplying until I have enough to wholesale in Canada. So excited!!!!

Many plants will be available for wholesale next years and many will be available to nurseries so this means less and less need for the clients to import plants from outside Canada as they will be available localy at better prices. Many seeds cross grown in TC will also be available like Nepenthes and Sarracenia as a new line of products are being produced. Pascal (@Labine ) is helping with his own plants cross and selecting beautiful species to reproduce in TC from his 18 years of passion in carnivorous plants collections.

2025 will be so exciting for Canadian who are passionate in carnivorous plants.

Started my pollinisation program of plants in the Greenhouse to reproduce in the lab.

Here a picture of Heliamphora producing seeds

Here a picture of a flower stalk of a Nepenthes spec x veitchii (sorry for the focus, it’s close to te top of the Greenhouse) pollinated with miranda pollen. Let’s see what’s the results (not all flowers are open yet)

I almost didn’t see that flower stalk as it was behind a big fern from the vegetal wall ( I had to trim it so I could see)

Pretty easy to lose control!

Once the multiplication have started and you simply re-divide and re-multiply with other TC vessels and so on….then one day you realize you lost the control lolllll

An example, Pinguicula johanna (just to pick one because made this mistake so many times until I realize’s it months later). Started with a single part of leaf tissue and now more than estimated 2000 Pinguicula johanna in TC…more than 24 Magenta TC later….how did I get there without noticing it lollll

It’s like a chain reaction….had to stop the reaction! So now just keeping them in rooting medium until I ex vitro them but the other issue is they still multiply (less than in multiplication medium) and they become bigger and need to be re-divide….just crazy!

At least I’m having fun in the lab…makes me forget that there’s so many TC to take care off lolll

Here’s a reel video I made Today :)
