RO water and PPM

So I decided to try going to the local grocery store and fill up jugs with RO water and when I got home and checked with TDS meter it was around 70 ppm.... I guess I thought RO water would be lower ppm should I not bother using??

Make sure the refill station didn't say that they remineralize it. I've seen ones that do RO and then they run it through a remineralizer to put minerals back in after "cleaning" the water through RO

The grocery store by me, Save-on (Western Canada only, sorry) has 0 ppm
The Sobeys had between 7ppm - 14ppm

I've never seen a water jug refill station at Canadian Tire though!?

The gas station I go to has a car wash attached but they also sell water because they have the RO system already, but a couple times it had a weird smell like they ran chemicals through it and it didn't rinse out properly.

70ppm is really high..probably to lazy to change the ro membrane filter and the store continues to sell it calling ro filtered water. Up here un Vancouver, i think tap water is 20 -30 as is.
