On observation, hoping no infections…..His relatives watching him during the nights (the 2 guys on the moving trayI hope they will be okay!
The samples didn’t survive because of contamination. I didn’t remove enough layers to be close or to get to the meristem. But at least the plant gave me a basal shoot so in a way it survived.Im curious on how this guy did. I know putting nepenthes into TC from meristem tissue is notoriously hard. Did this guy survive?
TC is definitely fun once you get a hold of contam. My first few batches had tons of contam but I think I've finally got good enough at sterilization to have good results. The samples didn’t survive because of contamination. Today I did my first meristem attempt on a Nepenthes…it’s so hard lolllll But I think I got it, will see in a few weeks. Much easier with seeds
TC is so addictive and so fun, I have been going full trottle but now realize I have so many successfull reproduction that I have to think to built a third Greenhouse to support the quantity of production, it’s just too insane…and my second Greenhouse will be ready in August but will be full by end of year lollll
Yes at first contamination is the number one ennemy. Now my problem is space to acclimate all theses plants lolllllllllllllTC is definitely fun once you get a hold of contam. My first few batches had tons of contam but I think I've finally got good enough at sterilization to have good results.
What sterilization protocol do you use for meristem? I'd like to give it a try
