[Processing] Y's Exotics Group Order (CLOSES THIS FRIDAY)

King Karnivores

Carnivore
Back to back group orders? Hell yeah!

This is a bit of a spur of the moment order, I have until end of the week to add items. I'll be placing one single order at the end of the week so there's a small chance items will be sold between now and Friday.

For full transparency, I have not ordered from Y's before. This is my first time and I'm still figuring out how it works as it goes. However, I have seen other growers in the US successfully order from them. They have an absolutely huge selection of mostly Nepenthes but also pretty much every other carnivorous plant genus and also Platycerium and ant plants. They are also one of the only nurseries that has a huge selection of specimen size plants including rare ones like Eddy's and also some cool crosses that don't yet exist in NA or Europe.

Y's Exotics website can be found here.
Their shop site can be found here.
Both sites are entirely in Japanese. I would highly recommend viewing the sites on Desktop through Chrome which can auto translate the entire website. Alternatively, Safari and iOS has the same feature.

The order deadline is Friday, April 26. DM me your orders before then. I believe all of the items are WYSIWYG so there are no clones or sizes to specify. Simply DM me the the entire product title or link to the product page. (ie. "G992 5-1 N. albomarginata Cameron Highland Ringret Y's Lab" or "https://ysexotics.cart.fc2.com/ca16/63857/p-r-s/")

Oh man. This is so tempting. They've got *at least* one plant I've been slightly obsessed over for a while with no actual (other) way to obtain it.

I should do the responsible thing and not spend the money, right?
Should definitely join! Y's is a hard one to get plants from over here! Im curious, though -- whats the plant?

Okay, I'll bite. It's the bright-colored N. tentaculata.

They come in such a huge variety of interesting colors, but the BE ones always look so drab in photos, and I'm not sure the AW ones are much better. They grow at a wide range of altitudes, and I suspect the pretty colors are more common in specimens native to higher elevations. This would also explain why the readily commercially available N. tentaculata specimens have seemingly been selected for boring coloration, if in fact they've just been selected for ease of cultivation. But, that's getting a bit speculative.

Going to be placing an order tomorrow afternoon/evening for all of the orders that have come in, just to make sure nothing gets sold out. Will still be doing another one Friday though for any stragglers. If you're thinking about ordering, try to get your orders in before then! For those who already let me know what they want, if you want anything else, let me know! They just added a few plants to the webshop this morning it looks like!

First order has been placed! Please check their webshop for each of your requested items and if its not marked as sold, let me know ASAP.

Everyone still has until Friday to add plants, but that will be the last chance! If you've already ordered, you're still free to add plants until Friday!

Edit: Currently were at a total of 6 participants

Ooops, forgot to update this thread. I heard from Ys last week and we should be expecting the plants sometime in August. I'll see if I can time it together with the PE order so people who participated in both only have to pay for shipping once but we'll see.
