Out of curiousity, is this normal? One of my h.uncinata has a smaller pitcher growing out of a larger pitcher IMG_20171122_214508.jpg IMG_20171122_214444.jpg

Sorry i can not see what you mean here ? my eyes are not so good these days , the photos are small hard to see what you objective is .
Heliamphora growth stems from the center of the plant , each pitcher forming comes from the center of the plant breaking out from the cover sheath of the earlier pitcher from the base growing up ward , may be that is what you are pointing out !
they all so put out many growths from the base stem forming new plants and often looking like putting up pitcher from the lower area's
the photo here may help with your question ,if not please

let us know or put in a larger photo to show your concern

The pics were taken by my phone and in the second one, hopefully you can see a pitcher with two pitcher mouths but one stem/stalk? Almost like conjoined pitcher heads?

aahh right see what you mean, some times plants get some wired growths form time to time, its not un-common and nothing to be concerned about as the newer growth pitchers are normal , some times you may find a plant will have a weird growth that will stay on that plant and become a norm for that plant , that is rare, and often how a new clones of that type is produced for us to wonder about , as more and more people grow cp's this will occur more often in the coming years just by sheer probability .

Bonjour
