Nepenthes rebecca soper

Carnivorous Plant Addict
I bought it from a small flowers shop in Toronto, spring time of last year, a tiny plant in a 3 in. bone dry pot. I was looking for a briggsiana and end up bought this one.
Now I have 3 plants and the pitchers produce a delicate flower's smell inside my GH. Casual and lovely ...
Would like to see yours !

Your Rebecca Soper looks so healthy! I'm also kinda jealous that yours smells good, heh. My own sense of smell isn't great, but as far as I can tell, none of my nepenthes smell like anything at all.

Here's my bigger N. Rebecca Soper -- arguably my largest nepenthes. It's looking pretty dehydrated right now. In fact, it's usually looking pretty dehydrated; every time I go out of town for more than a week, this guy suffers. Then it takes another 5 months to recover and grow new leaves. Poor fella deserves better. :(

But! It's now starting to put out transitional pitchers! I'm excited for it (it's the first nepenthes that I've grown since it was small that has done this!) , even though they're objectively not as pretty as the lower pitchers.

Consider using a wicking system for when you go away for a few days. ICPS posted a video a few months ago with someone who uses wicks for all their CPs.
Thanks, I'll give that a look.

I tried a wicking system a few years ago and it didn't work super well. Somehow the wick ended up both growing gross stuff *and* drying out (despite sitting in a reservoir of water). I'm not sure how I managed that. IIRC it was just a regular cotton string. I assume there's some trick to the technique that everybody thinks is too obvious to mention.
