Good morning, I joined your forum roughly a year ago and love reading posts about your plants and especially photos of carnivorous plants in the wild.
I have some exciting news I wanted to share. I live in the UK and have been beavering away listing my purp collection on our national heritage collections website. In June, my plants were assessed and my Web page was put before a panel of botanists to be judged and I was awarded collection status for sarracenia purpurea & rosea (spp, subspecies, hybrids and cultivars.)
I'm super chuffed as I've only been collecting purp species for under 5 years and have way over 100 different plants, not including seedlings. My aim for joining the plants' heritage was to leave behind a record of photos and information on as many of my plants as possible. I believe I'm the first person to start to document a large collection of just purpurea, venosa, montana and rosea's, etc.. in a horticultural setting.
All my plants will be photographed throughout the seasons, with clonal or collection numbers when available. Notes, descriptions, where the plants were sourced and previously traced back, if possible.
There is an incredible amount of work still to complete, but i findit fascinating.
