Mini terrarium ideas

There is a new glass display available from Ikea (SAMMANHANG). Anyone else thinks it'd be cool to turn it into a terrarium? I think it might turn out pretty sweet...

With your skills, I think you could make a nicer, cheaper one with precut plexiglass.

I was just browsing the new Ikea SAMMANHANG collection.....this glass display reminds me of a shadow box, typically used to display (dry) stuff. Do you think these will hold up to moisture?

Yep, I don't see why it would work, if you seal the gaps with bathroom silicone.

Depends on what the back/bottom are made out of... If you have to seal it, it may end up being cheaper to build as Lloyd mentioned.

I was wondering would pexi glass lid top be a better alternative until late summer / fall to sits my lights on and keep humidity in just as I can’t get any glass cut atm due to corona.

have you ever used Acrylic pexi glass for terrium build?

if so this sure would solve my problem of using kitche. Wrap over top of the Terria and have lights sit on the wrap.

I’m not sure pexi glass does with humidity or lights? Will it warp?
