Certainly a beautiful and interesting plant.
When I was very young, I was always fascinated by Castilleja, and I had no idea they were parasites.

Yay! Castilleja miniata seeds have finally germinated! There’s a bunch of random native plants in here so they’ll probably find something to use as a host.

The Aphyllon purpureum is starting to flower on my Sedum spathulifolium slate slab!
