Is this mold growing on my plants?

They were left outside all summer and I brought them back and left them on the window sill this winter. Just noticed these little white specks all over the plants and was wondering if it was mold growing on them?

Those are sheds from aphids, they love sundews. If you look closely you'll probably see quite a few live ones, usually they hang out around the newest growth. I get them on my capensis each year when I move them outside. I usually just spray them off with a hose to knock most of them off then use eco bug b gone to kill any stragglers. I spray 3 times every 5 days and it usually clears them up.

I get it off Amazon but it's also available at home Depot etc. https://a.co/d/0f1rKiGg

Thanks for the ID but there seems to be a lot of them - the window sill is kind of sealed off behind the sheers so where did all the aphids go? The wife will be mad if it infested her orchids. :)

They only live for about a month but it looks like they're all still on the plant, I think they shed quite a few times as they mature. I'd give all the plants in that area a look over and treat any you see them on. The good thing is aphids are really easy to treat, probably the easiest of all pests. They were likely on the plants when you brought them inside for the winter and without any predators inside have exploded in numbers.

Had the exact same thing happen on my VFT. I had them in a cold window all winter and when the temperature warmed up suddenly I had aphids. I guess they laid eggs in the fall and they didn't hatch until the temperatures got nice and warm again.

I can't really tell how big those pots are but you should be able to put them in a pail of water cover it with water and drown all the aphids. Would take two or three days i think.

OK, thanks, I will give that a try. So drowning the plants for 3 days should not kill them?
Sundews can handle water for a few days. I have some leaf cutting that I've had in a clear deli cup of water for over 3 years and they are still alive!
