How to Sterilize Ex-plants for Tissue Culture

Hi @wsong! It really depends on the tissue you are trying to sterilize and can take some trial and error before getting it to work. I usually try 5% household bleach for about 5-10 minutes for delicate tissues. For seeds usually 10% for 10 minutes is a good starting point. Rinse well with sterile water afterwards to get rid of the bleach residue.
For butterworts, selecting large or succulent leaves will help them survive the cleaning process. Also select leaves that are "clean" looking and away from soil. Hope that helps!
