Hey everyone, was looking for for sundews to buy from my city and stumbled across this site. Look forward to learning more about carnivorous plants and talking to you all. I'm very new to the hobby. I'm on my second VFT rn but looking forward to trying to grow some other species eventually. I also like to grow other things from fruits and vegetables to succulents but I seem to like more exotic plants or varieties.

I'm going to try and get some australian sundews next summer. They look amazing.

I tried pollinating one of my tuberous dews tonight. Not sure what will happen. You should also keep an eye out for gemmae.

Welcome! I have some drosera capensis seeds and some sarracenia flava seeds if you want to give them a go!

Thank you, I'd love to give them a try. Should I wait till spring to try germinating them or is it OK to do during winter?

If you have a bright/warm place inside for the drosera you could start them during the winter. For the sarracenia they need to be cold stratified for atleast a month (lots of threads on here about that process) send me your address in a PM and I'll send them your way.
