Carnivorous Plant Addict
I posted this some time ago on the old site but never got a response. I bought seeds from Willy last year of D. tokaiensis, D. natalensis and D. lovellae. I used some aluminum plant markers and wrote on them with permanent marker which turned out to be not so permanent. I've looked at photos of the 3 but they all start to look the same after a while. It's not the end of the world if I don't figure it out but it would be nice to get these properly labeled.

#1 has more red in the flower:

#2 has a pink flower:

#3 died of severe neglect but came back to life (sorry for the poor photo)

#1 looks a lot like D. tokaiensis to me?
Haha I know what you mean. They change a lot as they grow up too.
The rest, I don't know...especially can't tell what #3 is lol :P

I would love to be able to do that too haha. Be really to look into the genes of CPs. Too bad, I don't have anything even remotely close to the equipment required to test it!

Got these little guys with my Cape sundew. No clue what they are tho or if they have the same growing conditions.

So far they're doing great and one is flowering but I need to know if they're temperate so I can winter them.

Thanks!!

Looks like the sub-tropical D. natalensis to me. They will do well under the same conditions as your capensis.

More than 10 years ago I had a small pot full of tiny droseras with round leaves. I reckon each plant was less than 2 cm in diameter. But what delighted me was that the plants seemed to bloom more or less year round with tall pink stalks. The plant was purchased from some hardware/grocery store of some kind, rather than some carnvirous plants specialist, so it was obviously one of those easy-to-grow plants for beginners. I don't recall the plant ever going into dormancy. Can anyone tell me what is the likely plant I had?

I'm also curious to know if there are other Droseras that bloom more or less year-round. The flowers were lovely.
