Just an update that the Greenhouse withstood a hell of a year, from tornados and hail, to hurricane winds... the only damage it sustained was my meat head of a dog jumped on a panel and I had to push it back into place, but it survived. Temperature was better then expected.... I have 6 poly barrels 2/3 full of water to act as both a weight and heat sink. they stayed liquid all winter until we had the week of -30C weather, but even then, they just got skim ice over night that melted during the day.

Tornados, hurricane winds, wow. Did you monitor the temperature during day and night? I was wondering how much variations there can be when during the day the sunlight heat it up well above freezing, and at night the temperature outside drop to -30C. What happen then? Does it reach 20C during the day and -10C at night? Can the freeze/unfreeze cycles damage the sarracenias?

I should put a min/max thermometer out there but I haven't yet. I can say that I overwintered my assorted tray of sarrs out there without issue? I think i had one die but it might have been weak going in. I don't think it was dropping to -10 at night, maybe just during that cold spell cause the water barely ever skim iced

It’s got style like the old English garden type but you need it’s big brother hehehe
Not with our tiny piece of land. That would be even big. What I need is a bigger land. I would build many bogs, have a huge greenhouse like yours.

For now this is what I have, lol! but it does the job for some of my sarracenias: It's 4 x 4 but it's cool and water recirculate with a pump underneath. It protect my best sarracenias from the rain and wind.
