Hi guys i have a question, what fertilizer can i give to my drosera aside from maxsea is there any other alternatives that are easy to get not that expensive? Thanks
If I remember correctly @Les serres de Paolo Inc. has some fertilizer that he's developed for carnivorous plants. I can't remember if it was for sale or not, but a possibility.
I feed a lot of blood worms to my Pings and Dews. If I feed too much at a time and/or if the humidity is high, I sometimes get mould. The mould doesn't seem to hurt the plants.
My D. regia doesn't like bloodworms but does Ok with Schultz's orchid fertilizer at the dilute strength every couple weeks.
All the other dews go crazy with growth and flowers. I feed new growth with dew. I avoid near the growth point for Pings.
I use an old pepper mill with dry bloodworm in it to feed my plants.
That way, the plant can digest the food really fast and it doesn't leave big chunk on the leaf so no mould.
I second Lloyd, regia doesn't like bloodworm for me either.
