Ferns!

Aside from CPs and orchids, ferns are my newest love. So here’s a thread for me to boast about them. I’d also love to see any interesting ferns that people here are growing!
Some of my faves currently:

Microgramma cf. reptans

Elaphoglossum peltatum

Pecluma cf. filicula. A very new acquisition but maybe my favourite fern in my whole collection.

I grow a bunch of temperate ferns. None are looking great right now but I'll post some when they do.

Here's a photo of Polypodium amorphum from last year. The pot cracked this winter so I'm going to have to redo it:

I really like that one. I should try getting into temperate ferns. Don’t have any right now

Funny that you mention filmy ferns Dewy. On the weekend I went on a botanizing trip to the area around Tofino where I got to see Wright's Filmy Fern (Hymenophyllum wrightii). It has only been found in its gametophyte phase here and in Washington. The gametophytes produce gemmae and can spread around that way without a sporophyte phase. I'm hoping to find a sporophyte here on the island some day!

It's thought to be rare but we have been finding it in many places with suitable habitat. The gametophytes are very tiny and require a hand lens to locate. They grow on rotting wood in very dark areas in mostly old growth forest.
