Custom sheet metal pieces and machining

Thought I'd share a company I know about and have had a few pieces made. They can be expensive, but they do low volumes and are fast.

I was going to use them for the base and hood/roof of a terrarium I'm working on, but decided to use wood for this first project.

Here is a pic of a laser cut piece of stainless steel we had done (floor air vent)

Looks great! For some reasons, local shops charge quite a bit here. I have contacts for CNC machining in China for reasonable price and lead time if you are interested. :)

Thanks @WillyCKH I may, in the future, ask for those leads. My husband and I just launched a new toy. We used a local incubator space for designing and 3d printing. And then had the first production run done in China. It went fairly smoothly, but we were never really sure until the pieces were delivered.

Actually, the toy is like scaffolding for Hot Wheel tracks. But I've been using it to adjust how far my plants are from the lights ...

It just looks like you can do anything with it: open cans, walk the dog, clean the floor, graft Cacti, etc.

My parents shop does CNC galvanized, stainless, and steel sheet metal (I think up to 16 gauge). Idk what shipping would be, but they are always looking for side projects to keep the guys busy.

Good to know, thanks
