This is pretty amazing. It's not meant to replace any other COVID measures but it certainly adds to them. I just bought a package of iota carrageenan and I'm going to make my own nasal spray. Extra peace of mind plus cheap and easy! Works for colds too.

I know many of us are experiencing far worse but I will say Covid OMNICRON NOT FUN.

If anyone has tested positive
I’m going to share my current symptoms I’ve experienced to help us understand this Damn mess lol I do find if you do a rapid test it’s better to swab your throat first and then nose.

Started Friday 7th
Soar throat- tested negative
Saturday / Sunday tested positive did my throat & antigen test experience a chesty cough with muscle aches in the lower legs/glutes

Monday / Wednesday
Cough easing but experiencing bad tinnitus
Both ears blocked for few days, constant buzzing and head fuzz.

I’m absolutely puzzled
Only travel to work from home that’s it’s
I work in construction…none of my colleagues got sick and non of my family members in our household have tested positive

Too bad you got sick. I'm glad you're feeling better. You should be over it soon.
I see people who have no idea how they got COVID. Omicron is so contagious, less than 6 feet in still air for a few minutes is all it takes (depending on PPE).
The PCR test misses 20% of COVID at day 8 of illness, much worse earlier or later. The rapid ones are even less sensitive, and worse with Omicron. So a negative test with present COVID rates in the community actually probably indicates an ~80% probability of infection, if you're symptomatic.
Even before Omicron, the ratio of asymptomatic to symptomatic was 4 (six in Toronto). Maybe higher now, who knows? So there's a very good chance of being close to an infectious person who isn't sick.

wow cheers for that Lloyd! Interesting information!
I may of got omricon from some one who didn’t have symptoms.
I’ve never experienced an ear blockage in both ears with a 24 hour head fuzz and slight ringing. I checked it out too. It is a Covid symptom and has been reported.
If I didn’t have this tinnitus feeling I’d be okay and feeling better!
Hoping by Sunday with will all go away.?

I’m not really sure if these vaccines made up to withstand all these variants and for one thing a who knows where this thing all started..

Yes sir!! I’m super fit & healthy. I can’t go back to work until I test negative and have no symptoms. My wife and everyone in my house hold work with children so it’s crazy lol and I’m in construction.

I’m with Lloyd on this one. I’ve noticed that social distancing in stores is something many people ignore, which drives me bananas. The vaccine is not 100%, but it will significantly reduce the likelihood that you’ll end up in the ICU. Actually, no vaccine is perfect, but they are a big reason why we don’t have to wrestle with severe illness to the extent we would if left unvaccinated. PPE and avoiding high risk people is as good as we can get at the moment. Like the vaccine, not perfect, but it’s the best we can do for now. Hope you are feeling better soon.

It is like the light on a slow moving freight train at my workplace. It started in the department at the furthest end of the building and now is in the department next to mine. We have the sign-in checklist, temperature check and rapid testing, masks and distancing but it just keeps infecting people. Another 3 sent home today. Resigned to the when, not if.

I am sick... Have had 0 contact with anyone outside my household (noone else in household is sick... Yet!) I went on a ferry, went to two grocery stores, stayed at an empty house, then two days later, had a mild fever.

Symptoms for me have been a rollercoaster, but I am on the upswing now.

Biggest concern for me: I am diligent with masking, and washing my hands. Sanitize before and after any public 'venture' and don't touch my face. But, I am sick - untested, but what else could it be?

It's coming for you... Everyone... Runnnnnn!!!!

It's hard to assess risk at any one place. So many variables. The empty house seems very low risk, as long as it was empty for more than an hour or so. The grocery stores are a maybe, depends on how long you were there, what kind of masks people wore, etc. The ferry could be a problem if you stayed inside.

..could been an airborne viron that was left on something you bought or floating in the cold air. Apparently does not take too many virons to latch and grow on you not to mention non n95 masks won't help much to reduce that number.
