Hello,
I haven't posted anything in a while. I made some significant lifestyle changes about 6 years ago, and am hoping to be more active here once again.
I only grow Cephs at the moment. Eventually I would like to start growing Drosera again.
A few months ago I did some aggressive intervention to get rid of a springtail infestation, which set many plants back more than I expected. This guy seems to be recovering the strongest. I am very happy with how it looks now.
Springtails are not usually a pest, but in my case, their population was so dense that they had been nibbling at whatever soft tissue they could find on the cephs. It noticeably limited their growth potential and consistency. Ironically, I introduced the springtails myself shortly after beginning to collect cephs and reading about the benefits they can provide for plants, lol. . .
Only after I started to see some funky stuff going on with the cephs, did I research further and find out that they can lightly munch on plants when other food sources are low/the population is dense enough.
I like to edit pics to try and make them a little prettier, while maintaining accuracy for how the plant actually looks in person (colour hue and vibrancy, contrast, etc).
Thanks for looking!
Thanks for looking!
