So the seeds from this cross germinated much better than the xQueen Mary and have grown much faster. Most of the seedlings have 2 pitchers. When do I try and start feeding them and how. I was thinking that the little guys would keep some of their regular leaves for photosynthesis but I only see pitchers being produced. Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi Lloyd. Thanks for the info on feeding. I purchased these seeds on ebay but I haven't seen the Seller list anything since I purchased them last year though. I sowed the seeds and placed half the seeds in the fridge and half the seeds on a basement windowsill. Only the fridge stratified seeds have germinated so far.

just as a some thing i do for ceph seedling and ex-vitro , use seasol and a few drops of super thrive in a spray bottle and feed them once or 2 weeks or 3 weeks, depends on time of years, less in winter more in spring , just use low levels of seasol and thrive, and water first dont fert per watering , i water in morming then feed few hrs later , morning feed is best for cephs for me ,may need to experiment on your plants for your best results :) also use Mycorrhiza fungi powder to inhance the micro fungi, cephs like to enhance growth of roots :)

After nearly killing these babies multiple times, one has finally put out the first mature pitcher.
I don't have any luck with growing cephs in peat and sand for some reason. I switched to sphagnum moss and they seem to be doing much better.
I keep singing...baby shark, deh, deh, deh, baby shark.....
Just starting to add some colour.
