I finally did it!

I successfully pollinated, and harvested heliamphora seeds!

2 ready now, one last one with still a little green on the pod...

This labelling is correct; I sent a photo and the crosses I made to a friend. Thank you cellphones!.. and plant friends.

I grow more than just carnivores. My interest in plants began with vegetables, and they will always have a place in my gardens.

I am trying to start a farm, and will be peddling my wares door to door today in my current neighbourhood, and a neighbourhood where I used to live where I know some people who owe me $2 haha!

What's the lettuce variety in the middle with the green centres and light red/pink outer leaves? It's beautiful :)

@Carson Hardy, Nice plants and harvest! Have you tried the golden beet variety "Boldor"? It is an excellent fast grower, with exceptionally tender greens. I've grown it for several years now with great results.... enough to need new seeds for next year or if I want to try a late season sowing.

I have not, but, maybe next year I will!

For the most part, I purchase a variety of seeds, then save seeds from their cross pollination. I then use up these seeds and go through the same process. I am out of beet seeds now. Well, my self collected beet seeds are a bit old, and their germination rate is crap. So, back to a fresh start
