Beginner CP collecter from Alberta

I started growing CP around a year ago, but have been intrigued by them for much longer. I have a ton of experience with many succulents, orchids, vegetables, and houseplants, but not much with carnivorous plants. my setup is small, only a grow light and a tray with my plants, as well as a propagation/germination tray. I am getting a small grow tent soon.

My favourite plants, in order, are nepenthes, sundews, sarracenia, VFTs, cephalotus, heliamphora, and don't like a lot but still grow pinguicula,

These are my current plants.
a nepenthes sanguinea ( size large - XL )
a nepenthes [( Rokko x boschiana ) x veitchii orange fade ] x ( song of melancholy x veitchii pink candy cane ) ( size medium - large )
3 drosera capensis red ( 1 medium - large and 2 small )
2 drosera capensis white ( medium - large and a small )
a drosera adelae ( small )
5 drosera intermedia, seedlings less that 5mm size
a sarracenia " Judith Hindle " ( large ), might trade soon for medium purpurea venosa
5 - 20 pinguicula Guatemala, propagated from 1 plant
3 pods of nepenthes seeds sown oct 2024, still not sprouting

I'm a junior high kid, so not planning to get an expensive grow tent any or eddies or villosa or other expensive nepenthes. Might get a 2 by 4 grow tent soon

Sounds like a good start. Most CP's don't need a fancy or expensive setup. You should be able to get a lot of stuff on the forum for reasonable prices.
The Nep seeds are probably not viable but it can't hurt to hang on to them.

Some dew seeds, like tuberous can be tricky. Otherwise, most CP seeds come up pretty quickly if dormancy is looked after. I once had a Ceph seed take about 6 months but it was in TC.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes and advice! I've been thinking on getting another nepenthes or two, and maybe a sundew, from Brad's greenhouse, but I don't know which ones are better suited for my setup. Here are the options I was thinking of. The nepenthes are divided into 2, because I might get 2 different ones. They are also ordered from most favourite to least

Nepenthes:

1.

Sibuyanensis x ( veitchii x lowii ) BE 3986

Robcantleyi x ovata BE 3996

Spectabilis x ventricosa BE 3745

2.

Sibuyanensis x robcantleyi BE 3713

Robcantleyi x ventricosa BE 4074

Drosera:

Drosera x Hercules

Drosera binata Octopus

Drosera capensis Wide leaf

Does anyone have any advice, which ones are easier to care for, or if any are faster growers, e.c.t?

Anything with ventricosa in it is usually an easy and fast grower. I grow sib x rob and it was slow when it was young but after about a year has taken off pretty good.

All three of those Drosera should be fairly similar in care and easy to grow. Binata likes more light and warmer temps in my experience than capensis.
