Smilodonichthys
Carnivorous Plant Addict
This location is one of my favourite bogs on Vancouver island. I wanted to share it because I know many of you like to see the plants and habitat that the carnivores we love grow with in the wild. It would be great to see carnivorous plant habitat and associated plants that others have come across!
CP species found at this location include Drosera anglica, Drosera rotundifolia and Pinguicula macroceras.
In the picture brelow the red along the water line is Drosera anglica and Drosera rotundifolia.
Pinus contorta living up to its name. Commonly known as shore pine it is often found growing in bogs.
Alpine azalea (Kalmia procumbens) Found all around the shore of this lake but rarely found on southern Vancouver island.
Western Bog-laurel (Kalmia microphylla)
