I’m nearly out of @WillyCKH magic plant food pellets :) and now long winter approaching looking to stock up on more pellets.
I know CPs can have fish pellets! I was looking at frog bites & tadpoles since they are insectivores at most… crude protein very similar made sense that this could be good for for my neps and Traps!

wondering what everyone does!
mim concerned for my big B12 Traps need big pellets lol

I use for my pinguicula and for my sundew, notably tuberose and pygmee, flakes for aquarium fish and not pellets (too big in my opinion to be digested correctly)

for fish flakes, pay close attention to the quantities at the risk of indigestion and sometimes the death of your plants

I have had great success feeding my nepenthes 3-5 eye drops of liver blood throughout the winter months. Summer time nepenthes go out side and live off hornets, i have never seen so many hornets fill up the pitchers.

You could always try it. The problem with pellets of a certain size is that they might sit in the liquid and burn the pitcher. That's why a dilute liquid is good, you can put a different amount according to the size of the pitcher.

cheers Lloyd! What do you personally use for your pitchers if they are not catching bugs during winter

I take the TDS of the rainwater and add tiny amounts of MaxSea until the TDS is 100 + the original TDS reading.
I use it on plants growing in the LFS but not just the moss itself. The LFS doesn't need it and may not like it.

Wow complex stuff!! Cheers!!
do you put that mixture (rainwater/maxsea) I certainly would get lost doing it. I would have to see ya do it so I would understand:)
Do you put this mixture then straight into the pitchers?

Cheers Lloyd! @Carson Hardy kindly sent me an Xmas present Maxsea! :D So I tried it for first time…. Used your method slightly over 150 ppm this time… I sprayed it all over my traps, dews and pings. Moss unavoidable lol then put about 100ml with syringe or so in the pitchers. Had tiny amount left over so I diluted it with distilled water and Just mist it in the nep tank. Let’s see how this experiment goes and hopefully plants get some steroids haha
