So I've designed this 3in octagonal planter in Solidworks, and then sliced the model in Cura with the experimental feature 'fuzzy skin'. It looks pretty sweet!

We could hold a plant of the year contest where all the winners of each months would compete against one another. And then award the carnivorous planter.

Have you managed to print water tight? Or do you coat them? (Or it doesn't matter because it's going on a saucer anyways?)

I've been printing some self watering pots/inserts to go into coffee mugs or cachet pots. That way I don't worry about leaking.

I've yet to try if overextrusion would fix the issue of small gaps between layers....

If you fine-tune your printer, it is possible to be water-tight given 2-3 wall thickness. I don't have any problem so far using the i3 mk3 printers. :)

Drat. Admittedly, I haven't done much fine tuning. My A8 prints, but it ain't state of the art. And the "new" BI 2.5 will need more than fine tuning to get up and running.
Something to work on I suppose :)

can you make a skull? I have trouble getting the medium to stick to the resin reptile tank decoration ones.
