    Can you drown thrips?

I've been debating tossing a lot of them, maybe take a cutting so it's less to treat. That's a good tip for the succulents, maybe I'll try that. Thanks for the responses guys

    Can you drown thrips?

I saw a post on this forum once about drowning pests by submerging a plant in a bucket of water? Any thoughts if this could work on thrips? My infested plants are tropicals and succulents, the carnivorous plants seem ok thankfully. I've tried safer's end all, neem and predatory mites at...

Searching for beneficial mites to fight thrips :'(

I'm looking for places that sell beneficial mites in Ontario to fight the Thrips infestation I've discovered in my plants. I found a few places online but the shipping is a bit pricey for me, and the timing is tricky. I just missed Koppert's shipping window by an hour :( I noticed as I was...

My project is to show how people grow their nepenthes on windowsill

Can I ask where you got your Koppert Ulti-mites? I have a thrips infestation :'( It seems like they would take a long time to ship from the Koppert website, and I'm not sure where else to find them

    Pinguicula Pollination and collecting seeds

Thanks for the tips everyone! Jeff can I ask what the benefit you find of spritzing them is, or is that the only water you give them?

Do tropical pings like being outside for the summer?

I've been keeping mine out on a covered porch for the last couple weeks, but brought them in a few nights when the temperature was going below 10 degrees C. They seem to be doing fine, some are colouring up a bit even. Thank you everyone for the tips about the water and rain, I will definitely...

Do tropical pings like being outside for the summer?

Thanks Jeff, that changes where I will put them out, somewhere much shadier than I was originally intending. Putting them out today for a few hours since we have a mild overcast day, fingers crossed they take well to it!

Do tropical pings like being outside for the summer?

Hey everyone, just wondering what your experiences have been like keeping tropical pings outside during the summer. Especially if you’re also in Ontario. I know several other carnivorous plants like it. My Venus flytrap which seems to have been struggling to come back after dormancy already...

    Standing TDS water readings

For a while now I've been a bad CP owner and used Brita water for a fair number of my CPs. I got a TDS meter this weekend and realized that my brita water, and the water the CP's are sitting in was way above 100 ppm (I've heard the ideal water level are well below 100). In fact the brita was...
