Hmm snow in May, what a surprise.
Cold weather is upon us, time to put the patio bogs in for a week (GTA)
Warm weather is upon us, time to finally put the bogs out for good.
Drosera filiformis and purpurea seeds out the fridge and soon to be under the lights!
Lost 40% sarr seedlings to squirels in the night, they strike when you least expect it. They went for the spaced out one and left the clumps alone.
Newest insect around the bogs, bald faced hornets. There are a few that hang out by me. I first thought they were white ish bees but saw their face and though otherwise. They don't seem to mind me which is good.
Crazy is going outside to look at your plants multiples times a hour expecting something to change. Good thing I just like looking.
Found a single darlingtonia seedling in one of the bogs. Only three survived the winter and now one is left cause I kinda smooshed the others.

Anyone else think by Mar 23 in Ontario, that I can put my plants out? My filiformis are already coming out of dormancy in my garage.
Spent the day, cold stratifying all my leftover seeds. Hoping for some nice plants by the end of the year!
Found a ton of fly eggs on my purps, never been so grossed out. Then again they did murder the fly population in my area.
I love it when you find random D. Rotundifolia around you bogs... Even more so when you never put seeds there in the first place...
Spent the day identifying the insects around my plants, flower flies, regular flies and quite a few great black wasps (they're huge!)
Road trip to Calgary! Already missing my plants. I might just get some plants to keep me happy while I'm there
So much is happening! Got germination on badly stored drosera seeds! Also planted all my sarr seeds.

Accidently let my mini bogs get frozen... But my purps looks more dried out then the taller species. Surprised me.
Now that's a lot of spam today!
