Have not talked on here for a while, I’m going into second year of uni now. I’m studying conservation biology which is something I am passionate about. Ya’ll might see me actively posting my rare native plant findings
Currently very addicted to native 5 needle pine species

I have not been very active lately, I have too much school work

I could stare at my plants for hours without getting bored...

this trip I found 4 sites with all types of native carnivorous plants. I need to take some time uploading them all.

next Monday, I will be going on another expedition, trying to uncover a fairly rare carnivorous plant (drosera linearis), I will be looking near mount robinson (northeastern BC) because there have been records of them being found there. The most recent photo record is 6 years ago, so I will be making sure that the population is still strong and will be taking detailed pictures and environmental description.

Finding a lot of native pinguicula lately, maybe pings are my lucky plant after all

Going to start contributing to Native Carnivorous Plant Database when the weather warms up a little more.

I have a fungus gnat outbreak and my drosera regia aka king sundew has captured and eaten at least a hundred of them

My cold temperate sundews are enjoying their -14 weather to their fullest.

My cape sundews got accidentally left outside and it was -7 outside, suprisingly they still survived!

I'm planning to find some drosera linearis in BC next spring (because all of the records of it is in the east coast.)

During quarantine, it is quite fun spending time with my plants.
