I know the methods, and even have a tubing fork! But, if I only get 2 flowers, I'm hoping to pollinate them both. I'll post a picture in one of my threads later. It's growing faster than I anticipated. And I'm glad it doesn't take much pollen. First time for helis for me. Pollinating tghe sarrs was pretty easy, and I got good results. Fingers crossed

What’s the easiest one to grow. I have been wanting to grow one for a while. They are expensive and finicky. Don’t want to kill a pricey plant.

The ones Willy quotes you are also on the lower end of price! So, you get to try something not too difficult and you also don't have to break the bank. Just wait a bit longer and people will start shipping (hoping we slide through the Corona issue faster than not..)

I threw away the tag. I think it's caused by root rot. Need more springtails and isopods!
I recently read an article about indoor Heliamphora cultivation written by J. "Butch" Tincher and how most, if not all plants carry a pathogenic fungus within their vascular systems. If certain conditions are met, which appears to be associated with high temperatures above 26°C, the fungus overtakes the plant and ends up killing it. The article also mentions the use of another beneficial fungus called Trichoderma spp. The grower uses a strain developed by Ampacbiotech, which appears to hamper the other fungi's growth. I wonder if this plant died due to that fungus.

Amazing helis Willy ! You are truly talented.
By the way i still grow many VFT seeds i bought to you on ebay :)

For the phytopathogenic fungus, the original source is the studies made by Andreas Fleischmann more than 15 years ago.
