Very tiny, fast moving, white bugs?

Hey everyone
Around my purp I usually see these bugs but never did anything. This year though I would like to know If they are harmful in anyway as I would rather know then let this continue. In the picture below around the rhizome of the purp are many very tiny, white, mite-like creatures of some sort. I do not see any damage around the rhizome that would make me scared. On the plant is some spots that show some damage. Thanks for any help!

Could be springtails. They are often white and can move fast for their size. If it is springtails they don't hurt the plants and mostly eat fungal spores and hyphae. I see lots of them running around on sphagnum when I look close.

The reason why I belive it's not springtails is that the body shape is not oval and they do not jump only crawl around really fast. I mean I'm no expert, if it is then thank God I don't have to do anything.
