Unidentified Ping in Bloom

Picked up this lil guy recently and repotted. The pot may be a little tall but it seems to be enjoying the space. 2 New blooms since repotting and picked up a dozen gnats over the weekend.

Any advice on potting size would be appreciated.

Should the dead leaves be removed?

Also, anyone may know what species this is?

Nice Ping! It could be a hybrid.
The current pot is a good size.

A better picture of the flower would help.
At first view it looks like agnata.

may be a substrate more calcareous .
you can remove the dry leaves but it is not a necessity

for me an hybrid with a parent agnata .

Substrate is ~45% Peat | ~45% Perlite | ~5% Diatomaceous earth | ~5% Sand.

it seems from your photo that you have 2 plants, since 2 hearts rosette
