Hmm great point @Amanito Virosa i didn't create that section yet, would people rather see that as a sticky thread in the members section (one that can be edited over time) or as a dedication section? I don't know if there would be much of a bennifit as making it an entire forum. Open to options, @WillyCKH thoughts?

2- shoutbox....I think this is very useful. You can 'dry run' a potential thread here before actually creating it. Can prevent clutter threads if used this way, also good for shouting other things.

Sorry, I must have missed the tag (I don't think I have seen it in the alerts?)
I am still figuring out the details for the seedbank. I think a sticky thread will be enough if I could edit it regularly.
Perhaps a link from the homepage of the forum, a banner or something that allows people to have easy access to the seedbank thread?

I think thats a good idea, I'll let you post a Seed Bank Thread whenever you are ready (I can move the thread if you change your mind on the placement) and I'll sticky it and give you the ability to edit whenever you want.

As an FYI to current users, I have posted an open invitation on the old forum and sent a single mass email to everyone on the old forum (could take some time before all users are emailed) asking them to come over. I look forward to seeing everyone come over.

@krizz it is free for all to join and post. I've covered all the costs up front and we'll be doing auctions to offset those costs. All of the auctions are by donation of plant material and there is no obligation to donate :)

From talking to a handful of active members we'll have no problem making up the cost plus extra.

One things that would be nice, in my point of view, would be to have a " accredited seller " that could appear where your staff member appear or somewhere close. Could help people see which seller are experienced and trusted on the forum.

There should be an annual CPSC meeting. A thread could be set to prepare the upcoming meeting and then be used to post pictures of the meeting and any highlights of the event.

I could disguise as a Pikachu and make weird noises and give suspicious candies to the children! Yeah!!!!
.... Noooo!! I mean, this could be a real nice opportunity to fund raise and help someone in need. You know, like a "get a purpose in life" stuff.

Unfortunately I don't think there is that ability. Xenforos idea behind the status update was a short and sweet couple of words so they didn't include that option.

But you can always make a thread ;) threads with one picture are still aweosme.
