Tendril dug right into ground......?

One of my plants has a tendril dug right onto a neighbouring plants pots moss. Is this common? Whats going on?

What species or cross of Nepenthes is it? Some plants have really long tendrils and I would think if the neighbouring plant's moss is a bit loose and airy, a tendril would not have any issue pushing into it as it continues to grow out.

Tag say's it's a Ventricosa. From HB's. It's really anchored in there!

They do that exploring the surrounding for moisture, It's not uncommon to see a new pitcher forming in an old pitchers of another Nepenthes!
