T. krukoffiana pup?

So, if you happened to see some of my comments on this thread, you might recall because of their similarities, I wasn't entirely sure my Tillandsia krukoffiana was properly identified, and had concerns it might indeed be Alcantarea imperialis. Vegetatively, one of the most obvious differences, and a large part of my motivation for preferring to grow the Tilly, is that T. krukoffiana produces pups, which the Alcantarea does not. Well, because of the wonderful chill that has decended upon the eastern portion of North America, my tropical deck plants have been pulled inside (annoying, but tolerable for awhile). Today when I was checking some of them out, I spotted this:

I believe that is the early start of an offset! I think I actually have T. krukoffiana! Also, what look like worms crawling out of the pot at the bottom right of the photo are the incredible roots of this species, clinging to the edge of the pot. I'd probably grow this species for its crazy awesome root alone.

Now to get the U. humboldtii places in the tanks for the summer.
