Starting my ping collection from Willy.

My order from Willy arrived today. Had to nip out from work to get the package out of the community mailbox before they cooked.
Willy provided me a bonus plant and it was so unexpected. Nice selection.
I potted them and have sandwich bags over them to keep the humidity up for a few days while they adjust.
Hope these survive.

Thanks Willy!

Hi Jeff. You're correct. ;) The substrate is a mix of peat, sand and baked clay pellets. Hopefully, free draining and moisture retentive enough for under my grow light.

ok ,
can you tell us the percentage of each material, you do not put a lime element in your substrate ?

I tried for 1:1 for peat moss and sand and then added a few handfuls of the clay pellets. I've read mixed reviews about adding lime so did not add any currently but I do have a box on the ready. If the substrate stays too wet for too long under my light, I'll add more of the clay pellets.

That’s a great start to a collection! You can get dolomitic lime at good garden centres. You might try mixing a bit in the top of the soil.
