some old Sarracenias

Flytrap

Seedling
Hi, here are a few photos of some plants I've been growing. These are what I call, the survivors, as I've had some setbacks and losses over the years. Some of them are unknown hybrids made without any of my help, as over the years I just let them grow and flower, some cross pollinating and setting seed. I've had most of my sarracenias for over 40 years. Many originated from the old ICPS seed bank that was run by my old friend, Leo Song out of Cal State U, Fullerton. The most amazing plants are the oreophilas. I think most of the S oreophila x flava crosses here in metro Vancouver originated from my old plants. They're very robust and have beautiful heart shaped lids when viewed from above. Some of my S rubra ssp?? are deep maroon in colour.

Like most of you, I used to religiously tag and identify every plant in my collection... but after moving a few times, and sun bleached id tags, I've lost the identity of some of my plants. But here they are, hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I've enjoyed looking after them all these years. Stay well everyone :)
