Plant of the Month October 2018

    Carnivorous Plant Society of Canada
    Plant of the Month (POTM) contest Rules:

    1- One plant per entry. If there are more than one plant in the picture(s), the member may state the participant.

    2- The plant must be grown by the member for at least 3 months, or is grown from seed by the grower.

    3- The picture(s) have to be taken in the month of the contest.

    4- No 'In situ' plants. Only cultivated plants are allowed.

    5- Multiple pictures of the same plant can be posted, in the same post.

    6- The plant must be clearly identified.

    7- Members can POST the entry from 2018-10-01 to 2018-10-31 included.

    8- Entries will be voted from 2018-11-01 to 2018-11-10. Voting dates might vary.

    9- The winner of each month will be recorded in the Plant of the Month CPSC HALL OF FAME.

    10- Only one entry per member, in one post. Please avoid changing your entry.

    It's been a long time since my last participation. Just in time for Halloween, here's some picture of U. fulva in bloom. I cherished this plant for a few years without knowing if it was the real deal.

    They are tiny ... 1 cm x 1 cm but the plant sits on a west side windowsill. I'm pretty sure they would be bigger under stronger light.

    @Shoggoths Martin, this has got me drooling. I cannot wait for all my urtics to be in bloom. Great work, and please participate in the photo contest more often!!!

    I still feel the same way as you do, humboldtii and quelchii did not bloom for me yet.
    I think I'll split my plant and put them in different environment.
    That way I'll have pictures for the coming contest ;)
