Grown from seed sent to me from Prince Edward Island many years ago. These plants sometimes remind me of S. purpurea ssp. purpurea that grow farther south on the US Atlantic Coast. The pitcher to the left is a different clone with slightly stronger veins an the dark red patches on the lid near the orifice are more pronounced. The flower stalks reach only 30 cm to 35 cm during anthesis. Within the same population there are also antho free plants.
