Carnivorous Plant Addict
Hey CSPC FAMILY!
My name Connor and always had fascination for the green thumb and especially Carnivorous plants and after all these years in finally starting my journey on trying to succeed & species in particular Nepenthes, Sarracenias and Drosera.
I’m actually from UK but I now live in Toronto and i haven’t got greenhouse and I live in house one small window in house gets enough light come through so I’m making most of keeping my guys warm and trying to recreate humidity before summer hits And we can get a constant temperature of 70 outside.
I know have baby hybrid Asian pitcher of some kind & a Drosera Adelae and I really want it to get new pitchers so I built a greenhouse out of a storage box with bubble wrap as insolation and taped it inside with lots ventilation holes in bubble wrap top & bottom. It gets really warm and humid when sun hits it even if it’s 12 C out and goes up to about 25C but when it’s not sunny it certainly stays at room temperature or outside temperature.
So I do bring plants in doors when it’s colder than 20C when there’s no sun out as I don’t want to interfere with to much ups & downs in temperature spikes.
So for now I’m keeping plants in my homemade storage greenhouse inside my house by the window And tried recreate humidity to give my plants head start. The temperature hits 70 C in box same as house temperature and I always spray my pitcher with rain water / distilled put a bit of humidity in there, the box stays at 20-21C.
Plants do seem to keep the droplets on them for a long time so I’m pretty convinced I’m getting some humidity in there even at 20C but not convinced enough to spike the pitchers to grow .
Before I can put my guys outside when it hits over 20C and drops around 55F at night.
What advice would you give to grow my guys in my mini greenhouse storage, in couple days we finally getting warm weather so I think I might be okay but for when it hits September I’ll have to get a light/heat source for the plants.

I’m starting with basics and I’m looking to grow my collection throughout summer once I’ve mastered a bit and would love to grow more complex stuff in future.
I really do love the trumpet & small bell trumpet looking Sarracenias.
I also repot my guys with spagnum moss (not live) and carnivorous plant mix low quality acidic perlite/peat.
The pictures I posted here the pitcher is when I bought it but Drosera is repotted.
