Myrmecodia Fertilizer

Hey everyone, I just have a couple questions about fertilizing myrmecodia armata.
I saw in a previous post someone suggested spraying orchid fertilizer at 50ppm, same as with nepenthes.
My big question is whether or not to fertilize the roots? should I stick to foliar feeding and avoid root fertilization at all costs, or is it beneficial to give some light fertilizer to the roots?

Thanks for your time!

Ant plants normally get nutrients from basically ant droppings. Without the ants the plants will need a fertilizer with some nitrogen. The roots are mostly just anchors.

for the myrmecodia tuberosa 'armata' ( the real name) , the orchid fertilizer is too low in nitrogen, use a NPK fertilizer with a 2-digit N, for my part I commonly use a NPK 13-19-19 diluted to 2 grams per liter and sometimes even an NPK: 23-5-5
