Mold on seeds sown on sphagnum moss?

I am trying to germinate seeds sowed on sphagnum moss in a closed container. I often see mold growing on the seed or parts of the moss which I spray with pure water instead of H2O2. Is this a species of mold? This appears to be on the seed itself.

Mould is everywhere, although live LFS is pretty resistant. Generally not a problem, although it can overgrow. It will attack unhealthy tissue.

I decided to remove any seeds with visible fruiting bodies. I did not have high expectations of the seeds of Nepenthes I received since I did not know the age or how the seeds were stored. I wonder if sterilizing the seeds before sowing them would help keep down contamination in a high humidity enclosure.

I have started many neps from seed, and have had a very similar experience as you chen,

I found that the mold did not spread, but any seed that was infected did not germinate.

I hope your other seeds turn out!

Thanks Carson. I removed as many compromised seeds and media that I saw using my microscope and tweezers. Cleaned my tweezers in-between and disposed of them in a separate bag. I'll continue to monitor for any further mold growth and continue this process if I need to.
