Mini Bog Greenhouse

I found these mesh pots that will fit perfectly into an Ikea Socker mini greenhouse. I potted up a bunch of seedlings, removed the two top pieces of lexan and lined it with heavy plastic. I will place it outside once I figure out a safe spot for it away from marauding squirrels and chipmunks.

Hi, how did it go last summer? did you put it outside and how hot did it get under the sun? Must have been quite an oven?

Thanks for asking. It went well, I removed the plastic on the lid and replaced it with hardware cloth to keep out the critters and allow food to get in. There are a few plants that didn't make it but most of them survived. I just brought them inside after the big freeze we had last week.

Oh that looks good. Why do you think you lost some plants? Also what is holding the water at the bottom? does it have some kind of trey?

I'm not sure why some died, they are an assortment of Sarracenia seeds that all came from the same source. Natural selection?

It's not too clear in the top photo but there is a piece of thick black plastic cupped in the bottom that holds an inch or so of water.
