Lloyd meant that as with any kind of order, there is always a risk and we should consider the risk before finalizing the decision.

Is there any way this could go not according to plan?

    DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!

it's a very negative message and there is always a risk. there is no such thing as zero risk. so if we listen to this, then we would 100% never do it.

There are two questions before the don't do it... Yes, there's always a risk (not many ppl are aware of it though!), if you are fine with the risk, go for it. :)

In French we have a saying 'qui ne risque rien n'a rien' meaning 'who does not risk anything does not get anything'

those plants are not accessible otherwise.

In the past there have been some incidents. As a result, the administration has made it very clear that any transaction has risks. If you're happy with the risks, by all means go ahead. But afterward, all communication of a negative nature must be by pm only. The forum is not responsible for any negative outcomes.

I've been in on a couple of orders and things have worked out well - but I don't assume that everything is going to work out 100% and I don't blame the person organizing the order if things go wrong. Sometimes not all the plants make it to Canada and sometimes the ones that do arrive aren't 100% healthy. Nothing to be done about that. It's part of the risk! If you're good with that then go for it. If not, stay away.

Anyway, I've got my fingers crossed that I'll end up with some nice plants out of this order. I haven't even put any money down yet so I'm not even worried about anything yet.

Same here. Plus, if we manage to get some rare plants here in Canada, it will improve the availability in a few years down the road, if everything go well.

Most orders do go well. It takes a lot of work by the organizer plus some luck.
