It’s been a pretty slow time for CP’s but I got to the second greenhouse yesterday and started getting ready to repot everything. There will be three more 8x4 trays going in this space.

It’s not too bad, I have 30x15 of this house and I might end up with more next year. Might have to enlist someone to help me repot this year

Haven’t done much with my collection at home but at work I took this cutting of Nepenthes clipeata Clone 3, hopefully both cuttings take and I can have some extras.

Was at the greenhouse tonight after a week or two of not visiting and was surprised by how far along some of the plants are. This rugelii is always the first to flower for me.

    Waw! soo cool.
If someday I drive by Victoria, I'd love to see your greenhouse!
Just to see what I could do if I was living in BC.

@Dogrem if you’re ever in Victoria please do give me a shout and I can show you some plants!

My female Nepenthes truncata is coming into flower again, this is its third time in the last year and has 3-4 basals. It’s my only proven female truncata so I might trying taking basal cuttings this year. It’s a seed grow lowland form that was bred in Australian around 10 years ago, I kept back 3 more but they all turned out to be male.

Well Victoria is under more then 2 feet of snow and not much is happening outside or even inside the greenhouses! These flava started flowering a couple weeks ago but haven’t moved much this week.

Looks like all the truncata know it’s that time of the year! This clone has flowered before so I know it’s a male, I’ve had lots of offers of pollen but I might have to produce some pure lowland truncata this season.

Was repotting Sarracenia all day and this is the first flava to open in this greenhouse, a couple days behind the other greenhouse. This one is Mike Kings F21, from Apalachicola Florida.

Throw back to last spring at a friends greenhouse North of Seattle, I’m almost certain he has the largest collection of red S. flava in the world.

I had the same reaction, he’s only had this plant a couple years and it’s really starting to vine, I’m excited to see what it does this year. One thing I’ve heard (and it checks out with his greenhouse) is that they appareciste the cold, he lets his greenhouse go down to 8 most of the winter. You can see if intermediate plants slow down but it’s interesting seeing what picks up when it starts to get cold.
