Oh dear, we seem to have a lot in common!
Pygmy sundews, Japanese maples. I've got about 20 squirrelled away in pots and in places around my strata building, The classic golden full moon maple (A. shirasawanum 'Aureum') is still my favourite. About 20 years old now, and 10 feet tall—the leaves start the most beautiful, almost unbelievable chartreuse (photo below) before turning lemon yellow with a red-tinged edge.
I also pamper an A. palmatum "Yama Nishiki" on my balcony in semi-shade, A. palmatum 'Taylor', A. palmatum 'Koto no Ito', A. palmatum "Beni Maiko' (struggling after this last winter), an 'Orange pumpkin' that I can't find the real name of right now, and a dwarf vine maple very similar to the golden full moon, for the semi-shade on my balcony.
