This is my first attempt at growing cps under lights. Does anyone know if the lights are bright enough? They are just regular terrarium lights, don't know anything about them... Any info is appreciated! IMG_7813.JPG IMG_7819.JPG

Lights for CP's should look blindingly bright if you're in the house. A good way to tell is try a bean seedling 12" from the lights. If it gets etiolated, the lights aren't bright enough.

Usually T8 is not enough. T5 or LED is the way to go.

I just built a light with 7x Bridgelux EB Gen 2 1 ft LED strips for a 10 gallon tank for 4.52 USD each from Arrow and around 1200 lm output each. Mounted on aluminum bars and they barely get warm - just don't stare at it directly - it hurts your eyes!

Samsung also produces some COB LEDs with great lm/w and are quite inexpensive. Got some on the way and we'll see how that goes.

    Some People Use T8 Lights.....
The Light is not too high so I think you should be OK, and those are very good spectrum light, blue/purple "blurple"....
Same Color All The LED Guys Love.....

With blurples it might be a good idea to install an extra set of white lights for when you wants to actually look at the plants, blurples aren't quite pleasant for that...
