super fresh and still moist boff I'm not sure about that ;)
similarly for seeds with rotting on its surface

you can very well even despite the cold (good not -15 or -20 ° c) exchange drupes (fruit that contains the seeds and a gelatin)

Thanks guys I'm really impatient so I'll keep looking. I only found one place that sell seeds online But I'll judge based on how cold it is at the time.

My opinion is kind of in between Lloyd and Jeff...

I agree that the super fresh ones are the way to go.. I had a seed envelope come in dry and they didn't germinate. However, if someone has any fruits, I'd attempt the cold weather shipping with the expectation they don't survive. People here are often well priced and generous, so the small gamble isn't a pocket burner.

I'd also like to note that when people have fruits, they will post it here, and then everyone will pounce on them! Just be patient young Padawan, the ant fruit will show its self when you are ready.. hehe

When I said moist, I meant the goopy stuff the seeds are in that Jeff mentioned. It might act as an antifreeze. I think they would be killed by our winter temperatures. Still if you don't mind wasting a few bucks, try it out. I know that sundew gemmae have survived shipping in December and January.

Yeah, the goop molded over on a few of mine and were totally fine, I didn't even wipe the mold off.

But, a different time the goop dried up and the seedling didn't make it. Perhaps a water bath and removal of that dry she'll would have worked? Next time I'll try

for my part when I have dry seeds (not completely dehydrated), I germinate them on absorbent paper completely saturated with rainwater in an airtight container (for me Petri dish), in principle even with molds ( moisissures in french )of surface it works.
